Westport Fire Station

The Town of Westport initially hired Context's predecessor, Donham & Sweeney, to perform a feasibility study for a combined police and fire station. After several rounds of programmatic changes, the current configuration was decided, and the Town moved forward with the construction of a new 20,000 square foot fire headquarters. The new facility was designed to fit into the architectural context of coastal Southern Massachusetts - with pitched roofs, silver-gray cedar shingles with white trim, and massing intended to look like an aggregation of rural barns and sheds.
