Westport Fire Headquarters

About

Location: Westport, MA
Size: 23,100 sq. ft.
Status: Completed in 2010

After considering a combined police and fire station, the town prioritized its needs and opted to proceed with a new Fire Headquarters. With its pitched roofs, silver-gray cedar shingles with white trim, and massing intended to look like an aggregation of rural barns and sheds, Westport’s Fire Headquarters was designed to fit into the architectural context of coastal Southern Massachusetts.

Completed in the summer of 2010, the two-story 23,000 sq. ft. facility includes four apparatus bays, a training/meeting space, as well as a modern living and dining quarters for its fire fighters.
