Wakefield Public Safety Complex

This project involved the design of a new 44,000 square foot combined public safety complex on the sites of the town’s current police and fire stations. The design called for the demolition of the 100 year old fire station, with exception of the hose tower which was retained and rebuilt on the existing site. A connection was then made to the existing police headquarters, located on an adjacent site. The police headquarters was completely gutted and reorganized to serve as a modern facility. The two departments share a public entry, training room, dispatch area, and below grade parking facility.
