Lincoln Town Offices
Lincoln, MA

In order to provide a complete transformation of this former 19th century schoolhouse into the desired Town Offices, our team needed to do a gut renovation of the entire facility. A considerable amount of effort was put into the installation of lighting, casework and finishes to bring the interiors to life. The design took advantage of the existing cupola in order to create new openings in the floors and bring light down into the interior of the building. One of the project's major challenges was to create a walk-out rear entryway facing the main parking lot, with the goal of transforming it into the “front door” of the new Town Offices. We accomplished this by adding a covered entrance vestibule, grouping many of the main functions of the building around the entryway, and providing a generous open stair to the first floor meeting rooms.

Belmont Town Hall
Belmont, MA

After completing a feasibility study for Belmont's historic town hall complex, the firm was selected to undertake the design work. This included a complete renovation and restoration of the town hall annex and school administration building. While the exterior of the annex was carefully preserved, the interior is all new construction to allow for adequate office space and full barrier free access. The school administration building was restored on the exterior and renovated on the interior to meet current building standards.

Carlisle Town Hall
Carlisle, MA

The town office facility is prominently located in the historic district in the center of town. The town hall is designed as a two-story, wood-framed clapboard building, reminiscent of the New England town meeting house. It includes office space for all administrative departments as well as meeting rooms for town-appointed committees.

Cohasset Town Hall
Cohasset, MA

The Cohasset town hall addition is a modern complement to the old town hall, a historic building whose use dates back to 1858.  Balance is achieved by the use of white clapboards and similar, yet simplified, details and window openings.  The oak finished interior provides new office space, meeting rooms, record vaults and storage areas, as well as improved accessibility.
